Do you enjoy my Flickr?

27 March 2006

Do you enjoy my Flickr? If so then simply help me out by making a small but very significant purchase. You see, I'm bound by the ropes of the "free" Flickr account and have used up my entire upload amount for the month and I'm limited to the amount of sets that I can create for YOUR viewing pleasure. If I have a PRO account (which is only like 20-something dollars) I can post wonderful photos and art that will tickle your fancy and your toes. I can create more sets that will enable you to find the exact photo you may be looking for and as an added bonus... I'll create a personal tribute to the donor(s) on my site: studiophive.com To see my current filckr page, click the title of this post. For information on how to donate, simply post a comment to this article, title it: Flickr. Thanks and have a wonderful day. Love Kevin-

Saturday, NICE!

25 March 2006

It's a bit after 7:00 on a Saturday night and I'm hungry. I was able to ride my road bike today.. almost four hours in the saddle. When I got home I had some lunch with Shannon as we sat on the front porch, enjoying the sunshine. She loves Friends (the tv show) and has a few episodes on DVD. I like the show but I like spending the time with her most of all. We sat and watched a few, I took a nap and about 4:00 got up to make the final push on my portfolio. The AIGA Portfolio Review is this Thursday 30th so most of the design students have been working hours on end to prepare their work. It's a huge opportunity for us to have professional critique our work and hopefully make valuable contact for the future.

I just made my favorite pasta dish which consists of Barilla Penne pasta wheat noodles, some fresh Parmesan cheese and a dash of Barilla Tomato & Basil Basilico sauce. It's delicious. After my pasta I'll continue working on my portfolio items, making some final adjustments and preparing every piece for print.

I've really enjoyed my day today and anticipate more like it to follow. Sometimes we get into a rut and make less time for the things we really need and love to do. I've been uplifted today and because of this... Things are going to change. I don't think I've had much choice but school has been ruling my life for some time now. Because of this I've lost (to an extent) contact with friends and family and myself. There are a lot of things on my plate but I'm learning how to better combine them and find more time for other enjoyable things.

The photo is a "expose portfolio" for more information on expose visit jasondilworth.com or click on the title of this post..

Spring Break LA

For those awaiting the posting of information about my trip to LA... They're coming soon. Myself along with the other students are preparing for the AIGA Portfolio Review, which takes place on March 30th. More to follow about that as well.

Portfolio on Flickr

14 March 2006

I'm spending my spring break working on my portfolio. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter but there's a large, thick transparent object in the way. The AIGA Portfolio Review. An event curtail for design students to attend and show their work. Professionals will be on hand to critique your work and create valuable contact and possibly job opportunities. It's the best chance to get a feel of how your work stands up to those around you and from other schools.

With that in mind, I've taken this opportunity to post a few portfolio items on my flickr page. Feel free to give my your own critique, good or bad... Comments are always welcome. Thanks and good day. (click on the title of the post and go to flickr)

If you type "Studio Phive" in the google dialog box, you'll be happy to know that the first link happens to be my web site... Studio Phive. As Martha Stewart would say "That's a good thing"

Time

07 March 2006

It's been a while since I've posted anything to the old blog.. mostly because I've had little time to do so. I still don't have much time so I thought I'd throw up a photo from one of my photo classes a few semesters back. enjoy-
