It's been a while since the last post and I've got a few good thing on my mind to lay out... but I'll save it for later. For now, all you get is a lousy report of what another great weekend it was on the Wasatch Front.
Skiing today was fantastic! Accompanied by my sis, Kady, friends Jeremiah and Alex and of course, Shan. We made a few tracks in this little number (if you look close, you can see Jeremiah making the sketchy traverse near the top and Kady and Alex awaiting their turn to drop in) A bit late but you get the idea. Jeremiah adding some turns to our little wonder spot.
There's nothing like being fashionable on the hill. I should have kept track of the looks and or blank stairs. That was entertainment enough. Just like to give a shout out to KODAK for sponsoring me over the past years and for supplying my with all the disposable cameras I guy could ever want.
After a nice day of skiing, Kashi and I hit the shoreline trail for a little spin. It was his first MTB ride and he loved every second.
Straight out of Switzerland comes this little gem, and it contains some of histories best examples of great design, utilizing the one, the only, HELVETICA. Along with the examples of great design, are a few quotes by a number of well known designers, that I will begin to share on a weekly basis. A little healthy dose of Helvetica for the week. Thanks Kady, for traveling all the way to Switzerland, having a great time, sending me photos and for picking this one up.
And while we're on the topic of design... You should all plan on attending the Night of the People. Some of Utah's best design and advertising of 07 will be on display and you'll have a chance to cast your vote for the Peoples Choice Award, that will be awarded March 8th, during the ADDYS.
It's like the plague, and Bart passed it on to me.
5 things you likely don't or even care to know about me but will read anyway because you don't have anything better to do: 1. I have a weird fetish with rubbing my fingernails across my lips. Sometimes they're just so smooth it's hard to resist.
2. The best night before a race meal is a burger (veggie, turkey or beef) right form the grill with all the fixins, some veggies and a healthy serving of pasta salad.
3. Excluding Shannon, I'd rather be stuck on an island with any one of my dogs, past and or present, than any one else in the entire world.
4. If and when I ever watch football, I typically cheer for the team that has better looking uniforms.
5. Sometimes when I'm alone I talk to my self. Often times as if I'm being interviewed or interviewing someone my self. I typically throw in a few accents as well. British, French, Australian, Russian etc.. It's amazing the conversations I've had and the "people" I've talked to. There's a lot you can learn from a Russian spy.
