dj slims headphones

Posted December 30th by KDAY in Gear Reviews, Products

With our new, temporary living quarters I knew I wouldn’t be able to pump the beats from my creatures through the night as I worked on various projects and composed totally awesome product reviews. I went in search of some wireless headphones and came across Outdoor Technologies. I met up with these guys at Outdoor Retailer last summer as was very impressed, not only by their products, but the design and layout of their booth as well as the cool guys running the show. At the show, I tried on a pair of the DJ Slims that were streaming music from an iPad located in the bottom of a backpack in the corner of their booth. Immediately I was impressed by the sound quality. I don’t quite remember what they had playing, but it sounded great. I asked if I could venture away from the booth to see how far I could get and still have the music playing. The “effective range” says about 32 feet but it seemed like I was farther than that. Pretty impressive.

Having used them nearly every day now for about three weeks, I’ve pretty much sold everyone in the office on a pair. The convenience alone is worth it to me. Also, in years past, I’ve used SDAY’S Macbook pro to watch videos while pedaling away on the rollers. It’s a pretty good system that I can set up just about anywhere, but I’ve never been able to fully hear the audio… until now. The DJ Slims are perfect for a little trainer time. At 103 grams, they’re light enough to wear for a few hours with little or no adjustment.

The DJ Slims will play your music for up to 10 hours. Talk time up to 11 hours. With the press of a button, you can stop the tunes and take a call or two with the built in microphone, then swap right back to where you left off. Along with the built in mic. the Slims have volume adjustment as well as track advancement buttons.

Paring your Slims is a piece of cake. Enable your bluetooth device or computer and sync them quickly.

When the music finally stops, they only take about three hours to charge via USB cable and charging port.

Check out the other wireless options Outdoor Technologies offers as well as softgoods and accessories. And if you’re thinking about some wireless headphones, look no further than the DJ Slims. KDAY Racing gives these guys and their products a big hearty high-five and puts in the request to keep pumping out the cool stuff.

Thanks Outdoor Technologies! Check em out on Facebook and Twitter
