product review
Unfortunately this review doesn't include a testimonial from the trails in Fruta CO. Or a twice around the White Rim but In all reality, I don't think Awesome Straps need much to actually prove how bomb proof they really are. Thanks to Tolbert for turning me on to Awesome Straps by Backcountry Research, and the folks at Backcountry Research for making a solid product that solves a major problem in the mountain bike race world. No more rolls of electrical tape to mount a tube and CO2 to your seat post. No more saddle bags. And lots more room in the jersey pockets for Chomps and gels. The Awesome Straps truly live up to their name and are a must have for anyone looking for a simple, solid way to pack and extra tube, CO2 and or a few tire levers. The best part about the awesome straps is their ability to pack all your items nicely, before you actually mount them to your seat. Because the strap holds everything tightly together you can quickly access your items by removing the strap from your seat post then get what you need from your neat and tighty bundle. No more wrestling with tape or digging through your seat bag hoping it doesn't burst open as you frantically pull everything out for a quick tube change.Awesome Straps come in three different sizes to fit your every bundle desire. For only $9.95 you can get the Awesome Strap, which is designed to fit 1-2 16g inflators or 1 25g inflator with replacement tube, multi tool, tire lever and more. For $10.95 you can get the Back Forty, which is designed to fit a minimum of 2 16g inflators, 2 25g inflators and up to a 40g inflator with replacement tube, multi tool, tire lever and more. For $11.95 you can get the Alpha Niner. It's designed for the big loads. If you're a 29er fan, you'd better get this guy. It's designed to fit 2-3 25g inflators and up to 2 40g inflators with replacement tube, multi tool, tire lever and more. They're all designed to fit any seat post and made to order using the freshest and finest Velcro that stands up to any amount of abuse. Thanks again to the folks at Backcountry Research for hooking me up with a few Awesome Straps. They threw down a few extra as well so we'll see what we can do to get one in your hands and on your bike.Check out the instructional video on how Awesome they are.
